I now realize that I may have gone overboard with the summer road trip photos (read: hope I didn't bore you to death), but it's more so memories like this one that stay in my mind the most.  

Seeing all the touristy landmarks are cool. Ya know, so when people at the next table over when you're out for dinner are talking about their upcoming vacation to San Francisco and getting so excited to ride the cable car, you can lean over and tell them, yeah, I've been there! it was fun!! you've gotta do it! but $6 feels like a lotta money for one ride! 

All while trying not to be a vacation know-it-all. 

Clearly I got a little away from myself.

What I really enjoy the most is spending time with my 2 loves.

...anywhere really, as long as the 3 of us are together.

sorbet

I apologize in advance if these photos blind you, but it was like, the most sunny day in Vancouver ever!  I'm not complaining, except for the fact that I was heading into work, but keep the sunnyness coming!

I was told I look like sorbet in this outfit,  and I kinda like that.  Who doesn't love ice cream?

I had a bit of a secondary thought to yesterday's post about outfit photos, another thing to keep in mind, is why don't I take photos of what I'm actually wearing for the day, and not dress for the photos.  I took that inspiration from Kendi, at Kendi Everyday.  You all have probably seen and are obsessed with her blog by now, if not, I linked her anyways, and you might live under a non-blogging rock.  She answers some great questions in her FAQ section and says that yes, if you see it on the blog, she wore it that day.

Burnaby Mountain

This past weekend was filled with the best weather.  Over 20 degrees, sunshine and short skirts.  We made our way outside as much as possible.  On Saturday we went to Burnaby Mountain.  We walked around (not so much a hike), checked out the amazing views and had a picnic while laying out in the sun.  It was the perfect start to summer.

I'm sooo super excited!! Closer to Christmas I told all of you lovelies about a Christmas present that one of my sister's got for the whole family, a week all together at a rented cottage! And guess what?? The time has finally come!! I leave tomorrow morning and will be gone for a week.This trip kinda snuck up on me. Work and life have been taking over (read: just work ;) ) and holy moly, where did the last month go??!! Last thing I remember, I was starting my new job and adjusting to working full time again. Now it's all a little bit of a blur, but a super fun, totally great blur.I won't have my computer with me, so this'll be a post free week. But, I thought before I leave you for a week (again...sorry!) I would share a few of my favourite summer outfit inspiration photos, because ya know what? I'm gonna be wearing my own versions hopefully all week!!

weekend roundup

This weekend the weather was amazing!! Nice and sunny, and just warm enough that i didn't need a hat and scarf.

Saturday was spent mostly being lazy, including a nap in the sunshine. Ending it with a walk to the grocery store to pick up a few yummy desserts.

Sunday was spent mostly running around. We made a trip to Ikea and to Costco. Two of my favourite places!! I'm a lucky lady, considering my Bf loves Ikea!

Theres been a few holes to fill in around our apartment after our other roommates moving out, so we needed to partake in a bit of an inventory to replace the essentials. And, ya know, a few other random things.

Oh! Last night was our first official night with our new roommate!! She moved in over the weekend and is all settled. We celebrated by our outing to Costco being a "group" thing, and watching Family Guy together.

I feel like it should be Friday. Anyone else agree? I guess I'm just ready for weekend. Although, its supposed to rain all weekend, oh well, it may give me the chance to catch up on some indoor projects. Who are we kidding, it means I'll spend the whole time on the couch. Which seems to be the latest trend around here. It seems that all I talk about lately is weather, getting ready for the weekend, and couching it. Oh well, do what you're good at, right?! Sidenote, its sunny right now, and its supposed to be raining. don't tell, just enjoy!
