hello monday!

I think I just might have to say it, my weekend was de-...wait for it...-lightful, delightful! Although it rained all day on Saturday, we braved it with the dog and ran some errands. All of us were soaked, more so the dog and me, i didn't pick the obvious choice of footwear (as noted in my last post), and my bf is a bit of an umbrella hog. Our evening was pretty quiet, including a little cat nap to warm up from the cold outdoors. But, Sunday, ooooh Sunday, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the breeze was nice and crisp. We went for another looong walk down at Kits Beach with the little doggy and hung out at the dog park. I love the dog park! So many little pups around. Running and playing and oh, don't forget all the doggy petting I get to do. We even made a little stop in at Granville Island to pick up some fresh veggies for an amazing recipe (oh, don't you worry, I'll fill you in on it soon).

a pretty little space

I've been reminded that Valentine's Day is on its way. Just a couple of weeks away. So my brain needs to really start thinking of something special to do for my love. Maybe breakfast in bed, a candlelit dinner, or some yummy baked goods. We can see where this is all going....clearly I'm a little hungry right now.

feel better sundae

In case you haven't noticed, I've had a few down days in the last week or so. January, is all I have to say. So last night my bf surprised me with a yummy treat. He called it a "feel better sundae", made up of a bowl of butterscotch ripple ice cream, with peach slices and cookie crumbles. It totally made my night!

let's hear it for...

I can't lie, this January I've spent a lot of quality time with my beloved television. So between Sex and the City (both series and movies), Gossip Girl and throw in there a little bit of How I Met Your Mother, one thing lies clear...well, to me...New York City. It's another one of my most favourite places in the world. I've been there twice with 2 of my closest friends, love you guys!

Between the concrete jungle with tons of character, the greenspace that is Central Park, and well...i don't even think i need to mention it, but i will, just in case anyone is unsure...the magic of shopping in that magical city.

5th Ave, Soho, Meatpacking, oh my!!!

It's amazing what this city can make you feel. The grand buildings are breathtaking. The culture of the people, they are so friendly and proud. Just walking around and experiencing whats around you...i just love it there.

My 2 most favourite places in NYC are Central Park and the New York City Library.

weekend roundup

So, I've been a bit of a bad blogger. My weekend pretty much was as I envisioned, which was very low-key. However I was camera-less the entire time. Not because it was broken, not because it was lost, but it was all because I forgot it. I almost always have it with me when ever I leave the house, but unfortunately, this lovely little weekend we had will never be recorded due to super lazy-icoses. it's a horrible disease, full of television watching and napping.

However, to no avail my bf saved me from this completely made-up disease and saved this post by reminding me of a few photos and little video i took on his phone, of our new favourite dog walking park. So with out further adieu, this is my weekend roundup.

Hipster Baby

So, my best friend is having a baby and I'm totally getting on the baby train. I couldn't be more happy for her and her husband. I'm going to be an aunty! I keep finding myself window shopping for baby clothes, strollers, toys, pretty much the whole deal. So I thought I'd share with you a little outfit I put together for this amazingly loved unborn child.

Wolf Size

I came across this video the other day, I had completely forgotten about it. I think it's pretty much my favourite memory from the holidays. Its staring my sister and her dog (aka, my furry nephew), and you can hear most of my families voices in the background.

I just love watching his tail go back and forth. Such a spoiled dog.

Bon jour

Don't you ever wish you could just, wake up in Paris? For about a week at the end of July, I did. During my travels this past summer with my bf, Paris was definitely a highlight. Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to go to the city of love, or should i say amour, and its just as I dreamed. Here are a few pictures of our time there.

And yes, I wore a t-shirt with the Eiffel Tower on it, to the actual Eiffel Tower.

day dreaming

Is it fair to say that today I caught myself day dreaming about summer. It's the middle of January and visions of beaches, sunshine, and bare legs are dancing through my mind. I've been doing some research (read: online window shopping) and Spring/Summer 2011 trends are looking amazing. Just to let you lovelies know, one of my new years resolutions was published over at one of my favourite blogs, apartment 34. Of course, it was regarding my hope of petting more dogs. And for over the next month I get to exclusively pet this dog! I heart dog sitting.

snow day! but not for long!

Tuesday night it snowed in Vancouver. It snowed all night and into the wee hours of Wednesday morning. The snow looked so pretty on all the trees. All day Wednesday, I stayed inside. I literally didn't leave the apartment once. Which is why I have no photos of the pretty snow. Mind you, half way through the day, it began to rain, and all the pretty snow turned into lots of slippery slush.

As of this morning, pretty much no snow in sight.

I guess this means i can go for a jog without slipping and falling on ice....

Instead, you get to see a photo of my new running shoes! I'm new to jogging, so I wanted something that would inspire me to go out there and do it, and something that would take a lot of the impact from my feet hitting the concrete. They're perfect!!
