weekend update - a little (alot) late!

Hello Everyone! No, don't worry, I'm not dead. I swear! I have just had a super crazy week, which always leads to being a bad blogger (missing 4 days worth of posts). If it wasn't a long hard work day, it was due to not feeling well, or needing to catch up on some sleep (there's nothing wrong with going to bed while the sun is still out). And yes, all is well with me, but my full attention just needed to be else where this week. Thanks for understanding guys!

Now. Let's get to this last weekend! (even though the current weekend is pretty much beginning right now).
Pretty much the highlight of my weekend was a visit to the Vancouver Aquarium. I loved it! I'm a big Zoo/animal person, so this was right up my ally (and having a coupon for BOGO on admission was a huge plus!). My Bf and I walked from our place (in kits) all the way to Stanley Park (and back afterwards) and it was just lovely walking through the city hand in hand.We got to see the Amazon Exhibit before it closes down at the end of the month. Butterflies fly free in this area and they can land right on you! The blue one was my favourite. We also checked out the Beluga Whales, Otters (Bf's fave), and Dolphins. The Vancouver Aquarium is definitely a must-see for all Vancouverites and visitors.

Earth Day

Ride a bike, take a walk, go canoeing, enjoy the outdoors! Happy Earth Day!
Let's remember our planet when we make daily choices.

long weekends

I hope all you wonderful people are off today. Gotta love a long weekend, especially with wonderful weather. What are all your plans? Family time, outdoor activities, and Easter egg hunts, ya know, whatever ;) I'm looking forward to some quality Bf time and enjoying a few sweets here and there and hopefully a sunset down by the beach. Happy Friday!

little life

Do you ever feel like everything is finally coming together? Like your life is at least a glimpse of what you've always hoped for? Like the all the hard work and strife has finally paid off?
I don't blame you if your not quite able to say yes to all or any of these questions, but for the first time in my life, yes is a possibility. Yes is approaching. Yes is so close, I can nearly grab it!
I wanted to let all of you lovelies know how much I appreciate all your kind words and support over the last few months. And you know what? Its all gonna happen for all of us really soon, I can feel it. So, here's some positive energy coming your way! Grab it! Hold on to it! And cherish it! And while your at it, spread it! And pass it on!

travel tuesday - Barcelona, Spain Part II

So I promised you Part II of the Spain experience. You ready?! Here it is!!
There are so many amazing looking buildings to look at, parks to stroll though and palm trees to relax under. While walking around in an older neighborhood we saw lots of unique boutiques and shops and came across one that happened to be having a super fantastic sale. Let's just say, that was one of my first European shopping experiences, and Holly likey!!

weekend roundup

Hello all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Mine wasn't too bad, if I do say so myself. The Bf and I kinda laid low, but still spent some time out and about together. Now that we're both working full time, we're conscious of the time we do get to spend together.
On Saturday we went by a the Make it! show. Local designers, artists, and everything else creative was on display and up for purchasing. I love these kinds of markets, so much to see and such a variety all in one space.
On Sunday we lightly strolled around to run a few errands and hit up Granville Island for lunch. Fish and Chips is becoming to be a bit of a weekend tradition, and I kinda like it. Granville Island is such a fun place to explore and go in all the little shops. There's always something new and exciting to check out. And being just a stroll from our place.....even better!

new job, new me

What an awesome week! I started my new job and I absolutely love it!
I kept things on the low down until I got started, but for those of you that don't know, I'm part of the management team for the Anthropologie thats going to be opening on South Granville, Vancouver. The store is planned to open in mid May and is going to be pretty big.
I'm so excited!
I can't wait to get in there and really dive into my new position and get going.
Be sure to come by once the store is open to say hello!

Oh! and if you or anyone you know loves fashion, has a creative eye, and genuinely enjoys talking with people, we're hiring!
Leave me a comment with any questions you may have and I'll definitely get back to you as soon as possible.

word of advice

I love this house. I walk by it fairly often and I always look up at that word, Dream, and it makes me smile. I feel that no matter where you are in your life, dreaming is super important. Its how we look forward to the future. Its how we create endless possibilities for ourselves. And, of course, its how we have a good nights sleep.

travel tuesday - Barcelona, Spain Part I

Todays' destination is Barcelona, Spain. My Bf and I were there for about 5 days. We spent 3 of those days in a small beach neighborhood just outside the city, Badalona. It was such a lazy, relaxing and sunny time on our trip. We spent most of that time at the beach, which has such rich sand thats very light in colour, perfect for that in between your toes feeling. Amazing food, sangria and tapas anyone? Why, yes please! Oh, and no, I didn't eat at that McD's (1st photo). I have tons of photos from this amazing place, hence the Part I, so the first group are more beach related.
