on the mend

Yesterday, I pretty much spent the entire day in my bed, in and out of sleep. It seems to have helped, because today I really do feel like I'm on the mend. So much so, that I decided to go for a walk around my neighborhood.
Breath some fresh air. Get my body moving. Feel "not asleep" as my Bf put it.
I live walkably close to Kits Beach, So I headed down there to take in the ocean breeze. It felt good. I took a seat on the benches in front of the Boathouse Restaurant and let the view soak in.
Only after a few minutes to myself I was appraoched by some Japanese Exchange Students who have only been in Vancouver in 4 or 5 days. Their class was out trying to complete a survey about people and travelling. So I humored them an answered their questions. They told me their thoughts on Canadians, "I think Canadians are bright people, they all say thank you when they get off the bus, in Japan, no one says that." That me laugh and smile. Both things I needed to
have happen today.
Afterwards, I was asked if I like Justin Bieber, followed by a short serenade of "Somebody to Love". Again, I laughed and smiled.

I never thought I'd be boasting Biebs on my blog, but hey, there's a first for everything!

  2. I think he's got talent and the kid does good deeds - but what I think is crazy, is that he's what 16? and he's already had a full length feature film made about his life - and Michael Jackson the KING of Pop didn't get that until he died!!!
